A little update; I was asked to send some of these pictures to Sveriges Ornitologiska F�rening (main ornithological society), and the pics are now on their home page (http://www.sofnet.org) with a short story (http://www.sofnet.org/index.asp?lev=2125&typ=1) . No biggie, they accept user contributions, but flattering just the same. I can now sort of say I've been published! :) Maybe the link to my home page can lead to something (uhh, no pun intended).

As per Lawyer need to file for amendment before EAD expires. Need I-20 from Kaplan and another application fee ($190) + PP fee($1,000). :( But at least H1 is approved :)
New I-20 must be valid till Sept 30th and must start either before EAD expires or within grace period (EAD expiration date + 60 days)

Not that this should trump any of the above answers coz there could be context behind these that I don't understand. I had asked these same questions to Prashanthi Reddy, the lawyer who volunteers here at IV.

I just realized that I didn't explain what HDR is- The idea is to take a series of more or less 10 photos with different shuttle speeds and then composite them into one unique image that will capture all the light effect due of the high range of the natural light.
I know what HDR is, but your original question now doesn't seem to make any sense in light of what you just said now.
With that said, HDR works best with enough photos (no specific number necessary) to have well exposed highlights and shadows (start by underexposing your highlights and keep going up in exposure until your shadows are almost overexposed). From what I've read, the HDR plugin prefers the images to be separated by one stop, so on my camera that means three clicks over on the rear command dial if I'm set for 1/3rd stop increments. Setting your camera to 1/2 stop increments (maybe that's all the D100 can do, I can't remember) will let you get from one end of the scale to the other more quickly.

When you are switching employer with AC21 using H1B you can get a transfer to the new company for 3 years and get extensions from the new employer when that 3 year expires. So no worries... Enjoy
If your H1-B extensions are based off your I-140 and if you make the transfer to new company and for some reason the old employer revokes your I-140. I have no idea what implications would it have on your H1-B extensions ???:(

Excellent. I am new in this cage..but I am proud to be here. I will definetly donate generously for 4 core for future lobbying. Also I would think..we need 2 avoid anti-immigration media such as CNN etc. I saw WSJ, Business Week, CNBC(Brian William news at 6.30), CNBC Maria, Washington post, New york time and some other local news paper helping us with covergae on this issue. The new attorney for my company is 'Law Offices of Slowik & Robinson LLC' (http://www.s-r-law.com/) based in Columbus, OH and is supposedly very reputable and well known.
If you guys have heard of them or know about them, please drop a few lines here. This will help me make a decision as to stay with the new company attorney or go to much bigger firms like Murthy LLC.

This processing dates is just an act or rather a scam. USCIS and DOS will do what they like. I personally know a lot of people who applied there 485 a month after I did during July 2007 and whose priority date was 6 to 7 months behind me and they got there green card in August 2008 and I did not, I am sure a lot of you are in the same position. Whats the point in looking at these processing dates when there is no order or proper manner in which USCIS processes them, it is worse than a fish market. If we are lucky the monthly bulletin dates might move again (I doubt it), even if it moves you just dont know how far it might move, it might be 1 month or even to 2007. USCIS will then issue GC to 2007 and make a fool of 2004 and 2005 folks. I guess we have no choice but to bear this brutality. I for one have stopped looking at processing dates and even monthly bulletin. On top of it we have Obama\Durbin in control of washington, not sure what sort of nightmarish "immigration reform" they are cooking. I am at a low point, for the first time I am fearing I might have to leave US (or might be kicked out of US by Obama \Durbin "Immigration reform") after comming here and staying legally for 10 years and obeying all the laws.
Hi pitha, i understand your frustration but one thing in which the processing dates helps is like in my case, if my h1b extension is pending for 60 days i can call them only if their processing dates says less than 2 months, otherwise these guys wont even answer the call saying call back after checking processing dates.

I travelled thru Frankfurt last december. No need of Transit visa, no hassels; though Air-hostess that hands out I-94 card did not know what AP meant. I boarded at Bangalore airport and Lufthansa staff at check-in were aware of AP. At immigration in chicago, the guy gave me a short lecture- AP should be used only for emergency purpose etc; I jsut nodded and he stamped the I-94 and AP doc
If some one is on EB3 and waiting for their GC and only god knows when the wait will be over.Does immigration officers at port of entry expect us to wait for emergencies to travel on AP ? if not wait years or decades to get GC and travel.
This is quite ridiculous and insane.:(

You will not know until I-140 is filed as the preference category is requested on I-140 and not on the PERM.

Applied for EAD/AP online on 06/04/2008.
Got 2 years EAD approved on 08/05/2008.
Got an RFE for AP (missing photos) on 08/07/08.
replied for RFE on 08/13/08.
AP approved on 09/13 and got it on 09/20
