No you heard and interpreted wrong. Apple folks love "choice", but what we find confusing is why relatively "normal" people 'choose' the non Apple products they choose?
As an example... Want a digital music player, one buys a Zunes over an iPod... Why? Very confusing... :D

Lets face it, Mail on iphone blows when compared to blackberry. There is no security like blackberry has on top of the entirely inadequate mail program.
You can't search well beyond the most recent emails. on a blackberry you can search thousands of recent emails and it just works.
What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? This has nothing to do with TJ Maxx buying ipads. OH, and if you do not like the mail app on the iphone, or ipad, don't buy it, or don't use it. For me it works

Social Security was originally designed to care for those who lived beyond average life expectancy, which was under 65 at the time. It's logical to raise the age to start taking benefits by a few years. Encouraging smoking and fast food is probably not the best choice.

You know, I was around in the mid-80s when the mouse and GUI first hit the market, and I recall the bickering amongst my fellow computer geeks about whether one could do real work with these new "toy" computers (which didn't phase me as I was also interested in desktop publishing and could sense where it was going.) Back then, there were merits to both sides of that debate, but over time, it's become clear that the mouse+GUI was far more powerful and flexible than at first perceived by the geek crowd.
I'm starting to see a lot of parallels between the touch interface devices and those days in the 80s. Every time I see/hear some geek declare the iPad a toy and useless for real work, I just think back to those days when my geek friends sneered at the Macs with the silly mouse and pretty GUI and wonder if history is repeating itself.
And then I see things like what Adobe is doing and I know it for a fact. We're seeing another revolution in computing happen, but most people won't acknowledge it for many years, until it's beyond obvious.

If the company should not be allowed to do that for the sake of consumer protection, then there should be laws to prohibit such practice. If you personally do not agree with the conditions of the subscription, then you are always free to decide not to subscribe. If it turns out that their decision keeps customers from subscribing, then they might choose to reconsider.

The case looks really good (very iPhone 4-esque). This version works only with iPod Touch 4G - I'm definitely going to try this when it gets released.

I think they will use the new 256-Bit advanced vector extensions (256-Bit AVX) of the Sandy Bridge processors. It makes sense, because GPU-based solutions like Badaboom do not reach the same quality as CPU-based solutions. The AVX are ideal for video codecs, filters an so on.
Yeah, that means we will see new Pro hardware from Apple "early next year". And no, you will not see LP in Macs until 2015.

This is what the article is focusing on. You are very narrowly looking at one data point. If HTC can only sell only a few units of an Android phone, then they may drop the platform and look somewhere else for a better os. (Not saying HTC is in that boat.
